Oxygen is proud to announce it has helped raise a whopping $38,000 for the Child Cancer Foundation!

More than 220 people attended the Brekky & Bid for Child Cancer, a very special breakfast and charity auction event held at the Lower Hutt Events Centre on 24th February 2023.

Co-hosted by Oxygen and Professionals Redcoats, the event was MC’d by sports commentator Jason Pine and involved a talk from special guest Ruby Tui as well as a live and silent auction, with items ranging from experiences to artwork.

The talented artists included children who have been through their own cancer journey, including four-year-old Addison Blair, who was diagnosed a year ago with a very rare type of leukaemia, mixed phenotype.

When Addison was in hospital going through treatment she would draw a smiley face for anyone she thought needed a pick me up. She recreated a piece of smiley face artwork for our event and her artwork alone fetched $4,100!

The funds raised at our event will make a massive difference for families living through cancer, and will help to support things like trips away, camps, wellness packs and more, including financial assistance.
