Oxygen Helps to Keep Kids in Hospital Warm & Well

30 Jun 2023

To help keep kids warm and well this winter, Oxygen has donated 339 pairs of pyjamas, beanies, and socks as part of our pyjama collection drive for Hutt Hospital & Hawke's Bay Hospital's Children's Wards.

This is our fifth year running the appeals, and much to our surprise, it keeps getting even bigger each time—everyone wants to help because it's such a great cause, and it's a chance to give something back to the local community.

Often, children are admitted unexpectedly, and as a result, their families do not have time to prepare—so the children often come without something to sleep in.

It's fantastic to be able to give them a pair of pyjamas, and the hospital says their parents are always very grateful. They help keep the children warm and feel more settled and comfortable during their hospital stay.

Our whole team are blown away by the number of PJs donated, and we want to thank everyone who supported the collection—your donations will put many smiles on our children's faces this winter.

Special thanks to our team, owners, tenants, The Warehouse Lower Hutt, Rawson Brothers Jewellers & Watches, Lower Hutt Mayor Campbell Barry, Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise and the greater Wellington and Hawke's Bay communities for your contributions.
