Over the past few months, our team has been working tirelessly to gather winter pyjamas for the children at Hutt Hospital, and we are thrilled to share the outcome of this community effort.
Today our team members, Susie and Bridget, delivered an incredible 217 pairs of pajamas to the Children’s Ward at Hutt Hospital. This generous donation is a testament to the collective effort and compassion of everyone involved. The nurses and hospital staff were immensely grateful for the warm and cosy pyjamas, which will bring comfort to the sick kids during their stay.
This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the support of our fantastic team, our generous landlords and tenants, Mayor Campbell Barry, and The Warehouse Lower Hutt. Each contribution played a crucial role in making this our largest donation to date.
More recently, we received a beautiful message from Julaine, the mum of a sweet one-year-old boy named Elias. During a challenging time when Elias was in Hutt Hospital, he experienced several seizures over a 12-hour period. In the midst of this stressful situation, Elias and his family were unexpectedly gifted a pair of our pyjamas.
Julaine shared how much this kind gesture meant to them, saying: "Although a stressful time, it was made all the more better when we were surprised with a gorgeous pyjamas set donated by you. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your generosity. We really appreciated such a kind gesture and truly felt the love and thoughtfulness. Elias absolutely loves his new pyjamas!"
Again, thank you for helping us spread love and warmth, one pair of pyjamas at a time. This is why we do what we do.
